'anyways,lets talk about this year's youth camp.wat do u think abt it? (discuss discuss)(talk talk)uh-huh.oh.(talk again)ok.great.(blabla)so that's how u feel about it?(explain explain)oh.....'
XDD jus kidding....dunno wat i'm saying oso.hahaha..okok.let me tell u abt the joint camp with NCA(New Covenant Assembly) youths.our theme was BREAKTHROUGH.
this years camp was, for me, wow.a really big mixture of emotions.dissapointed,disgusted,angry,sad,emo,happyness,fear etc etc.i'll tell u y now.
on the 1st day of camp, we arrived late at Benum Hill Resort.the 'NCAs' we alrd eating.it was raining heavily n the lunch at the cafeteria SUCKED (sorry.no offence ><) n we had to wash our own plates too! [the dissapointed/angry part] aft lunch, we found out that the dorms were sooo far from the cafeteria.stil, no one complained abt it(i think).it was when we went into the dorm n saw the filthy lockers n bare beds n dirty floor that i started complainin [the disgusted part].....
aft 'unpacking',we went for a briefing at the service area.that place, i gotta say was nice.we got to know ur group members.aft that we went climbed higher up to the 'tower' where we played Flying Fox (use safety gear,slide down a rope across-above the lake) [fear part] dam fun!!!! i wan go again!!!!! evryone got their shoes all wet n muddy tho... [angry cuz hav to wash]
wash up wash up time....the bathrooms were stil on construction.inside was muddy n yucky [disgusted part] n we showered frm a pipe.lolz.the toilet doors werent fixed on too.we had to carry our doors to close...swt
later,was the 1st session with Rev JAMES FOO.i'll jus say, overall all the sessions his preaching was great.it totally touched me.....my pages for notes were totally full yo! Ps james foo rox! xD
at nite, we girls kept finding creepy crawlies in our dorm.....ants,bugs,worms,caterpillars,frogs,n even snake in the toilet!!! aaaah!!!! hateful creatures!!! the boys din get anythin!! ewwwww!!!!!!!! [disgusted part]
evry mornin we had group devotions.we got to know the members bttr frm there too..i think, by the 2nd nite, i was totally dreading goin for meals cuz the cafeteria so far to walk n the wash dishes part was...well uninviting.THANK GOD,that nite the NCA youth pastor, Ps Thaddeus announced that we were gonna eat meals in the service area frm then on n dun hav to wash dishes anymore too!!! hurray!!
on the 2nd day,we had a telematch at game time.dun wanna tell u all the games..jus, so many ppl got sunburned..not me tho.haha..day by day we got closer n closer with the NCA ppl....
3rd day,we climbed (really climbed!) up the hill to the obstacle course for the NS.the climb was so tirin i tot i would faint if i did the course too..it was 8 courses.jump the pole,cross the swaying plank on the water,'climb' the wall (carried by boys),walk on the wall (really scary.i held on to the guy infront of me the whole time),monkey bars above water,tarzan swing above water (swing across on a rope),crawl in the tunnel and crawl under the wire-fence. [all in fear]
i fell on the 1st couse. -,- aft that was quite ok.until the monkey bars.i totally cheated..keep steppin outside.hehe.then there's the tarzan swing.i,fell into the water. =.=' yucky!!!!! good thing i took off shoes.haha..aft that evrybody so tires n i was thinkin abt a long freezing bath(the water was freezing),they say we're goin kayaking!i realydin wanna go!! THANK GOD i went though...it was, to me, the funnest part of the whole camp!!! ya we got all wet.ya we got bullied by boys.but so wat?! it was soooo fun!!!!! [all included in happy] at that time, i can say the only thing left i disliked was the 'poor' management of the dorm n the sandyness of the whole place [dissapointd n emo]...
also on the third day,we had the photograph session.sakai pic,me n kor so sakai-ish. =.= haha..since it was the last nite,everyone stayed up late to play football n bball n eat n bond.haha...our chrches had a football match with the other chrches stayin there! too bad we lost 6-4. =[ o well.lol.that night, the average time we went to sleep was 4am.the nex day,evryone wake up late. (boys i mean) hahahas...
that day, evry grup were supposed to hav their own presentation for competition.but the leaders decided to 'breakthrough' n made a combine show WITHOUT INFORMIN THE PASTORS. xD evry group had its own but we stuck all of them together to make a whole show (sorta like a tv show) there was a startin song ( by TRANSFORMERS) 1st skit (by POWERPUFF GIRLS) commercial (THE SMURFS) 2nd skit (DORAEMON) commercial (SMURFS) 3nd skit (PIKACHU)MY GROUP! commercial (SMURFS) ending song (BARNEY).At the end evrybody combine to sing WONT YOU LORD.SO touching! .><. hahaha....
then ps soo cheng announce the winners! 1-PIKACHU! 2-POWERPUFF GIRLS! 3-DORAEMON! i think...hehe.cant remmbr dy..
aft saying our goodbyes, we set off home....................tatas! sob....
