let it go

When you drop a glass or plate to the ground, it makes a loud crashing sound..When a window shatters, a picture falls from the shelf, or a book drops from your hand, it all makes a noise.
But as for your heart, when it breaks, its completely silent.

You would think as it is so important, it would make the loudest noise in the whole world, or even have some sort of eardrum-bursting sound like the beating of a gong or the ringing of a big bell.
But it is silent, and you almost wish there was a sound to distract you from the pain.

If there is really a noise, it's eternal.It screams..and no one can hear it but you.It screams so loud your ears sting and your head aches.It thrashes around like a great white shark getting caught in the sea.It roars like a mother bear who just lost her cub.
That is what it looks like and that is what it sounds like.A thrashing, panicking, trapped great big beast, roaring like a prisoner to its own emotions.

But that's the thing about love.No one is untouchable.It's as wild as that.But when it actually breaks, its totally silent.

Now i know.It is time to stop walking with my head in the clouds.Hoping hopes that don't happen; dreaming dreams that don't come true.Instead, keep my head on the harder soil of ground level i should always have been rooted to.

There are no happily ever afters.There is no such thing as love at first sight.
